Back to Base Warranty

We provide one year return to base warranty that
start from the date of purchase on your tax invoice
and warranty is not extendable.

System warranty is inclusive of labor and hardware for 12 month,
but excludes software, virus and third party products. In the
event that faults are found to be a result of software failure
or virus attacked, a service fee will be charged.

Customers that have chosen to assemble their own PC will have
full responsibility for any physical damages that have occurred
through assembling; We will not take any responsibilities for
any incorrect assembling and installations.

Products found Dead On Arrival (DOA) within 7 days from the date
of purchase will be replaced on our spot and the replacement will
be based on the stock we have. Original package and all contents
must be returned as new with a copy of the invoice for the on
time replacement. However, no replacement will be given for the
physical damaged products.

Faulty products returned to us after 7 days of the purchase will
be treated as Not DOA and the normal warranty will be taken for
a time period of two to four weeks before the replacement.

No warranty for consumable goods e.g. Medias.
-
No warranty covered for physical damaged products e.g. burning
or physically damaged. Under consumer law guidelines, we are not
required to give warranties, refunds, exchanges or credits if
customers want to return products that they have modified, damaged,
or removed the identifying barcodes/serial numbers from.
- We
do not handle warranty claim for those goods where the manufacturer
acceptes direct warranty claims from customers. Most of the monitors,
printers, notebooks, network products etc are covered by direct
manufacturer warranty.
- D
& D is not responsible for data contents or the security of
the data contents contained in any returned goods. Our workshop
works under strict guidelines, not to intercept with any customer
data. Despite this customers should back up any data prior to
sending the goods back to us; data can be destroyed during our
testing. It is also beyond the scope of our control once the device
is sent to our supplier. We do not provide data recovery service.
- Customer
is responsible for proper packaging of warranty returns. All warranties
will be void on items that are insufficiently or inaccurately
packaged. If any item(s) returned for warranty claim is determined
to be physically damaged, the item(s) will be returned to the
customer as is and shipping fees are at customer's costs.

Shipping fees are at customers' costs if they don't bring the
faulty products to our store. Please attach a copy of the original
invoice and a detailed fault description. Customers are responsible
for proper packaging of warranty returns. We are not responsible
for any parcel missing in transit, on its return back to us.
- Any
part returned for warranty that tests 'ok' by our technicians
may incur $30 testing fee.

Products found not faulty after testing will be shipped back to
customers at their costs if they don't pick up from our store.
We will seek the permission from the customer to charge this cost
to the customer's credit card where possible. Failing this, the
goods will be sent back by Australia Post COD freight collected.
- Turnaround
time for warranty claims largely depends on the suppliers or the
distributors. We will try our best to speed up the process. Please
understand the time involved for a warranty claim will include:
our time to test the item, shipping back to the supplier, supplier's
own test and replacement/repair, and the shipping back to us.
- We
do not provide advance replacement under any circumstances. Please
keep this in mind when you place order.
Manufacturer
Warranty
D & D Computer Technology Pty Ltd does not handle warranty claim for those goods where the manufacturer accepts direct warranty claims from customers.
Most of the Monitors, Printers, Scanners, Network Products (e.g. D-Link, Netgear), Digital Cameras, Notebooks and more are under Manufacturer Warranty.
If products are covered by a local manufacturer warranty you will have to contact them and arrange the necessary return particulars. Please see Manufacturers
Details. We also recommend checking your warranty registration cards for terms and conditions once you purchase the products; in most cases they should have
the appropriate numbers and details for your return. Please contact us if you are uncertain of this procedure before retuning your goods.
Warranty Procedures

Original invoice or receipt must be presented for all warranty
claims.

Warranty claims must be along with your name, phone number, address
and problem descriptions.

Warranty for computer parts normally takes two to four
weeks before replacing to customers.
-
We only takes care of warranty for those products in our invoice
indicated with warranty code B (Back to base warranty).
-
Products in our invoice indicated with warranty code M are taken
care by the Manufacturers of relative products. Customers should
contact relative Manufacturers or their service centers by themselves
when they have warranty claims.

Warranty period is also listed along with the products in our
invoice. Warranty period start from the date that customers
purchase the products.

Warranty void if warranty labels on the products are removed.

Price:
All prices quoted are GST included. Prices are subject to change
without notice.
Mistakes:
While all efforts are made to check pricing and other errors, inadvertent
errors such as outdated or incorrect prices do occur from time to
time and D&D Computer Technology Pty. Ltd. reserves the right
to decline orders arising from such errors.
Purchase: All the parts we sell are not carrying
any compatibility problems of your existing system, hardware or
software (Please make sure the parts suit for you).
Payment:
Purchases can be made by cash, EFTPOS, credit card or direct
deposit (see
FAQ Section).
- EFTPOS
purchases are accepted on personal pick up only
(the EFTPOS daily limit set by the banks is normally up to $1000).
- Credit
card payment: 2% surcharge will apply on credit card payments.
We
keep our right to require suitable photographic ID for credit
transactions. Verification of credit
card and identify may be requested after ordering as per our fraud
prevention policy. D&D computer Technology P/L reserves the
right to decline credit card payments at our discretion.
- PayPal
payment: 2.5% handling fee will apply on PayPal payment. (Account: sales@ddcomputer.com.au)
- Direct
Deposit funds need to be cleared before good gets released. Please
put payment details as follows:

- We
request a non-refundable, 10% deposit for any computer systems
built by D & D. We may also request a 10% non-refundale deposit
for rare items we have to specifically order in.
Pick up: Customers have their responsibility to check all products
they ordered are completed and in good order before they pay and
pick up.
Delivery:
All freight costs will be borne by the purchaser. (see
FAQ Section)
- Customers
are responsible to have someone at the delivery address to sign
for and accept the delivery.
- Customers
are responsible for paying any freight charges incurred by refused
shipment and unclaimed goods. D & D will make every effort
to deliver on time. However, we shall not be held liable for delay shipment.
- We do not
ship to PO Box and Post Bag for any Credit Card Payments.
Cancellations: Any attempt to cancel an order must be made as
soon as possible.

Cancellations attempted after the dispatching will result in the
customer having to pay the shipping and handling charges on the
package and the cost of shipping the package back.

Cancellations may be communicated by telephone, email or fax.
-
Cancellations for assembled system orders will incur a 15% cancellation
fee. This is to reflect the labour cost and the depreciation for
the used parts.

Cancellation for specially ordered items would also attract a
15% cancellation fee. This is to cover the return to stock fee
implied by our suppliers and shipping cost.
Return/Credit/Refund:
Please contact us by email or phone to verify if a return/credit
can be accepted. Read below for guidelines on this procedure.

No deposit can be refunded if customer cancel the order.

No freight cost can be refunded.
- Software
is non-returnable and non-refundable if opened.
- Consumable
goods such as medias are non-returnable and non-refunded.

We reserve the right to credit, refund or exchange faulty products
at our discretion.
-
Customers are responsible to find/obtain the correct components
for their needs. If customer purchased a product and have a change
of mind then we may be able to accept a return for refund/credit
if the product is in original packaging/contents/condition and
if it is returned with a copy of the invoice within 7 days. However,
a 15% restocking fee or more will be placed on any returns of
this sort.

We reserve the right to reject any returns after 7 days of the
purchase.
- If
item(s) received is not what was ordered please do not open the
package in which it was sent. Any attempt to use the incorrect
item will be deemed to be acceptance by the customer of the itme(s)
as a satisfactory substitute for the one that was ordered and
no further claim can be raised thereafter.
- D
& D owns the title of any extra goods shipped with your order
that have been despatched in error.

If a product is faulty during its one year warranty (past the
DOA period) then it is subject to either the standard or manufacturer
warranty replacement/fix and no refunds/credits can be made (see
Warranty
& Support Section).

Privacy Statement
- We collect
your contact information (name, address, e-mail address, and phone
numbers) and financial information (credit card details), to process
your order. This information will be kept confidential and at
no time will this information be traded, swapped, exchanged or
sold to any other party or company.
- D & D
Computer Technology Pty. Ltd. is committed to reducing the amount
of fraud it faces. Your credit card transactions are processed
in-house by a staff member who will check your details against
public databases or by calling your bank for verification. We
may need to call you for additional security details when the
transactions exceed a certain amount.
- Our policy
is that we will prosecute any cases of fraud that we identify.
If any of the information you supply is found to be false or misleading,
we will, if we deem it appropriate, report this to the appropriate
authorities for them to prosecute.
