Video passthrough, for zero delay recording and gaming!
HD PVR's video passthrough gives zero delay on your TV monitor, and makes HD video recordings at the same time! Video passthrough uses the component video input to record your game play in HD while the "no delay" component video output allows you to play your games on your TV set. HD PVR records in MP4, M2TS and AVCHD formats. AVCHD can be used to burn Blu-ray compatible DVD disks. Two hours of HD recordings, recorded at 5 Mbits/sec, can be burnt onto a standard 4.7 GByte DVD-R or DVD-RW disk for playback on a Blu-ray DVD player.

Record formats
There are three H.264 formats you can choose when recording a video:
- .TS, which is a generic 'transport stream' compatible with many digital media players
- .M2TS, which is compatible with the Sony Playstation3
- .MP4, which is compatible with the XBox360
The .TS and .M2TS files are AVCHD compatible, and can be used to burn Blu-ray compatible disk recordings. These files can be burned onto a standard DVD+R or DVD+RW disk for playback in a Blu-ray disk player using the included Arcsoft TME Disk Create application. Approximately 2 hours of HD TV recorded at 5Mbits/sec can be put onto a standard DVD+R or DVD+RW disk.

System Requirements
TV set requirements
To use HD PVR to record game play using "no delay pass through", your HD TV set needs to have a Component Video input. Component video is also called YPrPb and are the red/green/blue connectors on the back of your HD TV set.
PC systems requirements

- Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit), Windows Vista or Windows XP service pack 2 (32-bit)
- Graphics with 256MB memory (or greater)

- CD-ROM drive for installing the HD PVR software
Note: when playing back video recordings made with the HD PVR on your PC screen, a fast CPU meeting the specs noted above and at least 256MB of graphics memory are needed.

HD PVR Gaming Edition and uploading videos to YouTube
To change the upload resolution for Youtube, click the Option button in Showbiz (upper right hand corner) and select Preferences in the dropdown menu. In the Preferences window click on the tab that reads Others. At the bottom of this tab will be the upload resolution to default to when uploading clips (by default set to 240p). View the Preferences page
